Job summary

Hyphen Partners is seeking a Senior Payments Performance / Optimisation Specialist in Singapore to own card payment performance across the region. You will monitor data, diagnose failed transactions, and implement fixes in routing, 3DS, and tokenisation to improve success rates.

You will manage a merchant portfolio, present findings in QBRs, and work with risk, product and engineering to deploy solutions. Mandarin fluency is required for collaboration with China-based stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in payment operations with cross-border or domestic acquiring depth.
• Strong understanding of card schemes and end-to-end payment processing flows.
• Experience in implementation, solutions consulting or technical account management at PSPs/acquirers/orchestration platforms.
• Analytical capability and comfort with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel).
• Mandarin fluency is required for collaboration with China-based stakeholders and internal docs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor card payment data; investigate fluctuations and diagnose root causes of failed transactions.
• Translate diagnosis into fixes: retry and routing logic, 3DS and authentication flows, network tokenisation, scheme-level improvements.
• Manage a portfolio of merchants and own their payment performance; present findings in QBRs.
• Collaborate with risk, product and engineering to implement solutions, not just recommend them.
• Engage card schemes and payment institutions; track cross-border trends and benchmark market performance.
