Job summary

Edmund Optics Singapore is hiring a Business Development Engineer to grow our customer base across Southeast Asia, based in Penang, Malaysia.

This is a technical sales role. It takes over an established book of semiconductor, automation, and machine vision accounts, with responsibility for growing them and winning new business across the region. A network in the market and track record in key account growth are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics or related field.
• At least 3 years in technical sales or business development in a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts across Southeast Asia.
• Build relationships with engineering, R&D, operations, purchasing, and management stakeholders.
• Identify new opportunities and expand Edmund Optics’ share of business.
• Engage with customer engineering teams to understand requirements and system challenges.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and application guidance.
