Job summary

Edmund Optics Singapore is seeking a Business Development Engineer to grow our customer base across Southeast Asia, with a base in Penang, Malaysia. This technical sales role will manage an established book of semiconductor, automation, and machine vision accounts while pursuing new business across the region.

The ideal candidate has a network in the market, a track record in key account growth, and the commercial judgement to engage customer engineering teams. Imaging optics knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Minimum 3 years in technical sales or account management.
• Experience in optics, photonics, semiconductor equipment, or related industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts across Southeast Asia.
• Identify new opportunities within existing customers and expand Edmund Optics’ share of business.
• Engage with customer engineering teams to understand requirements and propose EO solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and application guidance to customers.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer concerns.
