Job summary

Edmund Optics Singapore is hiring a Business Development Engineer to grow our customer base across Southeast Asia, based in Penang, Malaysia. This is a technical sales role, taking over an established book of semiconductor, automation, and machine vision accounts, with responsibility for growing them and winning new business across the region.

We are looking for someone with an existing network in this market, a track record in key account growth, and the commercial judgement to engage customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, or related field.
• At least 3 years in technical sales, account management, or business development in a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts across Southeast Asia.
• Identify new opportunities within existing customers and expand Edmund Optics’ share of business.
• Engage with customer engineering teams to understand application requirements and system challenges.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and application guidance to customers.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer concerns.
