Job summary

Edmund Optics Singapore is seeking a Business Development Engineer based in Penang or Singapore to grow our customer base across Southeast Asia. This technical sales role will manage an established semiconductor, automation, and machine vision account book, with travel across the region to win new business.

The ideal candidate will have an existing regional network, a track record of key account growth, and the commercial judgement to engage customer engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics or related field.
• At least 3 years in technical sales, account management, or business development in optics, photonics, semiconductor equipment, instrumentation, or automation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts across Southeast Asia.
• Develop relationships with engineering, R&D, operations, purchasing, and management stakeholders.
• Identify new opportunities within existing customers and expand Edmund Optics’ share of business.
