Job summary

Invedu Advisory and Education Pte. Ltd. on behalf of our client is seeking a proactive Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to drive growth in magnesium and related metals across Singapore and Southeast Asia.

You will build distributor networks, identify industrial buyers, manage negotiations and develop a strong pipeline with regional partners, leveraging your 3–5+ years in B2B metals sales.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in B2B sales/business development in metals/industrial materials.
• Experience in magnesium, aluminium, non-ferrous metals or metal trading ideal.
• Familiar with Singapore/Southeast Asian industrial markets.
• Existing relationships with metal distributors/traders/foundries/industrial buyers advantageous.
• Strong sales, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Able to source and develop new customers independently.
• Understanding of international trade, Incoterms, import/export procedures helpful.
• Good command of English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Singapore and Southeast Asian market for magnesium and related products.
• Identify and develop distributors, traders, brokers, agents, and direct industrial customers.
• Build relationships with downstream users in aluminium alloy, die casting, automotive, electronics and precision manufacturing.
• Generate leads and convert opportunities into commercial business.
• Understand customer requirements: product specs, quantity, pricing, delivery terms.
• Conduct customer meetings and support commercial negotiations.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers and channel partners.
• Monitor market developments, competitors and pricing trends.
• Coordinate with overseas supply team on customer requirements and opportunities.
• Attend relevant industry events, exhibitions and networking activities.
