Job summary

A leading multinational company is seeking a seasoned Human Resources professional to lead HR operations across the APAC region. This strategic role involves mentoring HR leaders, overseeing regional initiatives, and ensuring compliance. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of HR experience, strong knowledge in organizational development, and is bilingual in English, with Japanese as a plus. This position is open only to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a Japanese leading multinational company, is seeking a seasoned Human Resources professional to lead and coordinate HR operations across the APAC region. This strategic role focuses on guiding and supporting HR leaders in each subsidiary, setting regional HR strategies, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement.

As a trusted advisor to regional and local business leaders, you will foster a culture of innovation, engagement, and high performance across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor HR heads in APAC subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with regional and global HR strategies.
  • Oversee regional HR initiatives and facilitate best practice sharing among local teams.
  • Support HR heads in managing employee relations and navigating local labor laws.
  • Serve as the main HR contact for regional leadership and local HR heads.
  • Drive HR digital transformation and leverage analytics for workforce planning and strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and ethical standards across all APAC subsidiaries.
  • Oversee performance management, total rewards, and talent development initiatives.
  • Promote employee engagement, DEI, and a unified organizational culture.
  • Lead regional change management and organizational development programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or International Business.
  • IHRP certification is an advantage.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English; Japanese is a plus.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant HR experience, with regional or multi-country exposure.
  • Proven experience leading HR teams across multiple countries or subsidiaries.
  • Strong knowledge of organizational and talent development, performance management, and HR operations.

  • Willingness to travel within the APAC region as required.
