Wise Payments in Singapore is seeking a Finance Manager for Asia to strengthen regional finance capabilities and oversee financial performance, controls, and regulatory compliance across Asia entities.

The role offers cross‑functional collaboration with Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Compliance, Legal and other Finance teams, with significant ownership and exposure across markets.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in financial control, audit, financial reporting, management accounting or related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience owning or supporting financial reporting, statutory audits or regulatory requirements.
• Strong financial analysis skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Experience partnering with senior internal and external stakeholders and communicating complex financial topics clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high‑quality work to deadlines.
• A self‑starter mindset – comfortable taking ownership, making decisions and working independently in a fast‑moving environment.
• An understanding of how accounting, tax and regulatory requirements affect financial operations and controls.
• An automation mindset, with an interest in eliminating manual work and improving finance processes through technology. Experience with SQL, Python or similar tools is a plus.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal and other teams internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own financial oversight of Asia legal entities, including analysis of financial performance and monitoring of financial, capital and liquidity controls.
• Lead regulatory and financial reporting, coordinating monthly, quarterly and annual submissions and supporting ad‑hoc reporting requirements.
• Monitor regulatory capital requirements and ensure entities remain appropriately capitalised.
• Lead finance and statutory audits for assigned entities, including coordinating financial information for regulatory examinations and Group audits.
• Partner across Finance, Banking, Compliance, Risk, Legal and Product to ensure reporting, systems, controls and processes meet regional requirements.
• Drive improvements to finance processes and controls, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate reporting.
• Translate complex financial and operational data into clear insights for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support Regional Finance initiatives and evolving business requirements as Wise continues to scale across Asia.
