Job summary

Wise is seeking a Finance Manager, (Associate Controller, APAC 12-month FTC) to join the Regional Finance team in Singapore. You will oversee Asia entities, ensure compliance with accounting, regulatory and tax requirements, and influence cross-functional processes.

In this highly collaborative role, you will partner with Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Product to deliver accurate reporting, optimise controls, and scale finance operations across Asia.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in financial control, audit, financial reporting, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience owning or supporting financial reporting, statutory audits or regulatory requirements.
• Strong financial analysis skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Experience partnering with senior internal and external stakeholders and communicating complex topics clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
• Automation mindset with interest in eliminating manual work through technology (SQL/Python a plus).

Responsibilities

• Own financial oversight of Asia legal entities, including performance and controls.
• Lead regulatory and financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Monitor regulatory capital and ensure entities remain capitalised.
• Lead finance and statutory audits for assigned entities.
• Partner with Finance, Banking, Compliance, Risk, Legal and Product to meet regional requirements.
• Drive improvements to finance processes and controls and automate reporting.
• Translate complex financial data into clear insights for stakeholders.
