Job summary

Barry Callebaut Group in Singapore is seeking a Raw Material Planner to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and packaging for site operations. You will work closely with Master planners and production schedulers to keep the production plan aligned with material availability.

You will monitor lead-times, coordinate with suppliers, and support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize stock and reduce waiting costs. Proactive communication and data-driven decision making are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Place orders for raw materials towards the warehouse for packed and the supplier for bulk to ensure proper execution of the production schedule.
• Maintain raw material orders and communicate changes with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with production schedulers in case of RM shortage or delay in the delivery from supplier.
• Ensure correct raw material lead-times and that orders are placed within agreed lead-times by updating master data.
• Coordinate with regional RM planners and the sourcing team regarding missing contracts at suppliers and perform root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Prepare tank planning for the short term horizon and communicate unloading plan to operations.
• Ensure compliance with QA and safety regulations.
• Ensure stock of RM does not exceed space allocated in the factory.
• Follow up and approve invoices from external suppliers, especially regarding waiting costs.
• Perform root cause analysis for line stoppages and other supply constraints.
• Collaborate as Supply Chain representative in projects.
• Use MRP to prepare call offs and align with cocoa via OMP for internal call offs.
• Install bi-weekly calls with suppliers to monitor supply constraints.
• Develop and manage KPIs for order changes and supplier performance.
• Supplier evaluation via KPI follow up.
• Coordinate with local Warehouse & Logistics to plan deliveries efficiently and minimize waiting costs.
• Support weekly local S&OP.
• NCR preparation and follow up for SKUs.
• Support stock reconciliation for bulk and palletized goods.
• Prepare cost impact details after stock reconciliation.
• Participate in local SLOB meetings for raw materials.

Job description

Under the management of the Plant Supply Chain Manager, the Raw Material Planner will be responsible for the ordering of raw materials & packaging to be delivered at the site, e.g. packed raw materials ordered from the warehouse to the site and bulk raw materials ordered from the supplier to the site. The Raw Material Planner will work closely with the Master planners as well as the production schedulers. Additionally, the Raw Material Planner will participate in key initiatives and projects to support continuous improvement.

About The Role:

• Place orders for raw materials towards the warehouse (for packed) & the supplier (for bulk) to ensure proper execution of the production schedule/plan
• Maintain raw material orders in case of adjustment in the schedule and communicate those changes with the relevant stakeholders
• Coordinate with production schedulers in case of RM shortage or delay in the delivery from supplier
• Ensure correctness of raw material lead-times and ensure that orders are placed within the agreed lead-times by continuously checking master data
• Coordinate with regional RM planners & the sourcing team in case of missing contracts at suppliers. Perform jointly a root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to avoid this from happening
• Prepare tank planning for the short term horizon and communicate unloading plan to operations
• Ensure compliance with the QA and safety regulations
• Ensure that the stock of RM does not exceed the available space assigned for it in the factory
• Follow up and approve invoices from external suppliers, especially regarding waiting costs
• Perform root cause analysis for line stoppages, unanticipated cost impacts and other situations linked to raw/packaging material availability
• Collaborate as Supply Chain representative in the assigned projects
• Use MRP from system to prepare call offs
• Align with cocoa via OMP to perform internal call offs
• When required, install bi weekly calls with suppliers to proactively follow up on potential supply constraints
• Develop & Manage KPIs for order changes towards and by suppliers
• Supplier evaluation via KPI follow up
• Coordinate with local Warehouse & Logistics organization to plan deliveries in efficient way and minimize waiting costs

About You:

• 2 to 3 years experience in supply planning
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices, specifically the integrated supply planning process.
• Good understanding of the other supply planning processes focused on distribution requirements planning, raw materials planning, and scheduling
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
• Previous experience with SAP, OMP and Business Objects
