Job summary

WYETH NUTRITIONALS (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks a planning professional to manage raw and packaging materials, ensuring availability for production while controlling costs. The role involves coordinating with Production, QO, Technology, and Warehouse teams to maintain supply continuity.

Responsibilities include creating robust DPS and MRP plans, monitoring delivery performance, and implementing corrective actions for stock variances to support local and export orders.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in factory/materials planning or supply planning.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of MRP concepts and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an optimized replenishment plan for raw and packaging materials.
• Monitor and expedite material delivery to support production schedules.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, Warehouse and Procurement to ensure timely supply and resolve issues.
• Identify and address stock excesses or shortages and implement corrective actions.
• Create and maintain supplier delivery plans and resolve discrepancies.

Job description

Main Purpose of the Job

Ensure availability of materials to fulfill the requirements of the production plans within the agreed cost boundaries.

Strategic:

1. Responsible for the planning activities of raw & packing materials to meet factory production program requirement at accepted & required quality & quantity.
2. Optimize inventory holding costs vs delivery frequency/related costs for major/key materials (Raw & Pack & inclusive non-saleable HALB).
3. To fulfill launch of a constrained, feasible and realistic Detailed Production Schedule (DPS) plans for Finished/Semi-Finished Goods for production run in consensus with MPS planner.

Operational :

To monitor and expedite delivery of materials to ensure timely delivery for production.

To manage day-to-day materials requirement planning (MRP) for factory and ensure Detailed Production Scheduling is consistently delivering achievable plans for factory's operations within given Master Production Schedule.

To coordinate & liaise with relevant stakeholders (Production, QO, Application & Technology Group, Warehouse, etc.) in area relating to MRP planning to ensure timely supply for local and export sales with inclusive of customer orders fulfillment for both export & local shipment.

Highlight in the event of high stock of factory's related materials due to drop in demand forecast or low inventory stock with sudden surge in demand.

Manage exceptions & Follow up with relevant stakeholders on corrective and preventive actions :

1. Quality non conformance - liaison with QO team on estimated release, salvaging method and recovery plans & liaise with Procurement team on supplier performance improvement.
2. Material shortfalls - review on the delivery plan and reschedule recovery based on next arrival date with liaison with Procurement team where need be.

Key Outputs

1. Create an optimized replenishment plan for raw and packaging materials over an 18 month horizon that ensures supply of material to production whilst ensuring that the working capital targets for raw and packaging materials are met; Liaison with MPS planner & production on weekly production program during WPR.
2. Monitors supply signals through the use of MRP purchase requisitions ensuring delivery dates, lead times and required quantities are correct and finally creating purchase orders and ensuring their fulfillment by the supplier.
3. Manages directly with the defined supplier the delivery of materials including creating, sending, confirming, receiving, investigating errors and discrepancies on blocked or parked invoice lines and handling all exceptions in those operations, including claims management; Manage deliveries to ensure minimum detention & demurrage charges and to liaise with warehouse team with a mindset towards avoiding these charges.
4. Define the stock policy and management approach to be applied to each SKU within their portfolio; Housekeeping in SAP to ensure Healthcheck targets are met and also to sustain and upkeep on material master data integrity relating to MRP planning.

Key Experiences

Two or more years of relevant operational experience at factory/market level is useful, in at least one of the following areas:

1. Factory Planning
2. Supply Planning
3. Shelf Life management

Experience in the following processes would be highly beneficial:

1. Product lifecycle process
2. Factory Master data management
3. Experience in export or shipping industry is an additional advantage
4. Core knowledge of the 10 principles and expert knowledge in our areas of responsibility.

Key Knowledge

1. Integration points between the Material Management Planning, Supply planning and Procurement Operations
2. Warehouse management for raw & packaging materials, inventory counting/Master Production scheduling / Factory Operations / Quality management / Supply Chain KPIs
3. Material and product portfolio (type of demand, seasonality, lifecycle status, shelf life management)
