Job summary

WSH EXPERTS PTE. LTD. seeks a vigilant safety-focused professional to manage access control for authorised personnel and work parties within railway environments.

You will oversee local movements of engineering trains and railway vehicles, establish track-protection measures and issue and maintain operational signage and equipment. Responsibilities include assisting the operations controller with shunting, coordinating with supervisors, monitoring compliance with safety rules, reporting

Qualifications

• Minimum NTC 2/3 or GCE O-Level or equivalent qualification.
• Railway or construction-safety experience preferred.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Able to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Able to perform overtime and report during emergencies.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in tunnels, depots and construction environments.
• Must complete the required safety courses, operational training and OJT.

Responsibilities

• Manage safe access by authorised personnel and work parties.
• Control local movements of engineering trains and railway vehicles.
• Establish and maintain track-protection measures.
• Issue, control and maintain operational signage and equipment.
• Assist the operations controller with shunting activities.
• Coordinate with persons-in-charge, work parties, operators and shunters.
• Monitor compliance with operating rules and safety procedures.
• Report incidents, equipment defects and operational irregularities.
• Assist in the OJT of newly appointed personnel.
• Perform rotating shift duties in railway and construction environments.
