Job summary

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore seeks a lead engineer to drive the design and development of multi-disciplinary interfaces among electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring compatibility with overall performance requirements. You will review technical submissions, assist Project Managers, and manage construction, testing, and commissioning progress for rail transit projects.

Qualifications

Knowledge in Engineering, preferably Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Mechanical Engineering.
Appreciation of constraints and interface requirements of electrical and mechanical works.
Interest in project management and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Good communication, written and presentation skills.
Team player who is analytical, resourceful, result-oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

Lead the overall process of ensuring multi-disciplinary interfaces are compatible with performance requirements across design, construction, testing and commissioning.
Review technical submissions and participate in construction, installation, testing and commissioning of systems.
Assist Project Managers in resolving design/interface/site-related issues within stipulated timeframes.
Manage, supervise, monitor and report construction, testing and commissioning progress.
Prepare technical specifications, participate in tender evaluation and conduct design reviews for new rail transit systems.
