Job summary

EduCare Specialist Services is seeking a Quantity Surveyor (QS) for a rail infrastructure project in Singapore. The role covers cost estimation, BOQ review, tendering, and cost reporting across the project lifecycle.

You'll conduct quantity take-offs, monitor budgets, and verify progress claims, coordinating with project managers, engineers, contractors and suppliers. Rail-specific experience is preferred and site visits may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in quantity surveying for infrastructure or construction projects.
• Railway, MRT, trackwork or other rail infrastructure experience is preferred/required, subject to client confirmation.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other QS software.
• Good communication, coordination and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review cost estimates, BOQ, tender documents and cost breakdowns for rail infrastructure works.
• Perform quantity take-offs and measurements based on engineering drawings, specifications and site information.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, progress claims and cash flow.
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders, subcontractor claims and payment claims.
• Assist with tender submissions, procurement comparisons and cost reports.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on commercial and contractual matters.
• Conduct site visits when required to verify work progress and quantities.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, contracts and supporting documents.
