Job summary

GATES PCM CONSTRUCTION LTD. in Singapore is seeking an EC Operator to safely operate the Engineering Consist (EC) on the tracks, working alongside a Shunter to maintain safe railway operations.

Responsibilities include conducting duties at depots, mainline tunnels or viaducts, directing EC/PV movements, setting trackside point machines, and assisting in training new Operators. Shift rotations cover three 8-hour blocks with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• NTC 2/3 or equivalent qualification required.
• Preferably prior railway environment or construction safety experience.
• Able to work rotating 8-hour shifts with overtime.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties at the depot, mainline tunnel or viaduct environment as assigned.
• Operate and direct the movement of the EC/PV safely in accordance with the Works Train Manual.
• Assist the Works Train Controller in shunting of the EC/PV within the Defined Area.
• Set and secure point machines (trackside equipment).
• Assist in on-the-job training of new Operators.
