Job summary

Gates PCM Construction Ltd in Singapore is seeking a railway operations operator to safely manage Engineering Consists (EC) and Passenger Vehicles (PV) within designated areas.

You will work closely with the Works Train Supervisor, WTCO and EC/PIC, comply with the manual and safety procedures, assist with shunting, set track points, monitor train movements, respond to incidents, and help train new WTO/WTS personnel.

Qualifications

• Minimum academic qualification: NTC 2/3 or GCE O-Level.
• Railway or construction experience is an advantage.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Willing to work rotating 8-hour shifts and overtime.
• Able to work independently and in a railway/construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and direct EC and PV within designated areas.
• Work closely with the Works Train Supervisor (WTS), WTCO and EC/PIC.
• Comply with the Works Train Manual and safety procedures.
• Assist with shunting and rail vehicle movements.
• Set and secure track points and related equipment.
• Monitor and ensure safe train movements within the assigned area.
• Respond to incidents, accidents and emergencies as required.
• Assist in training new WTO/WTS personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
