Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is seeking an R&D Tribo Engineer (HD Manufacturing) to supervise engineers and technicians and to drive reliability testing for head/media designs.

You will report testing results to the R&D team, investigate root causes with internal labs, and enhance test methods to meet evolving customer requirements while ensuring ISO SOP compliance in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mech/Chem/Materials/Electrical).
• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of physics/chemistry of material interface and evaluation techniques.
• Understanding HDD structures is a plus.
• Experience with test equipment setup/troubleshooting desired.
• Cleanroom environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of Engineering Assistant and Technicians.
• Compile testing results to report to R&D team.
• Understand reliability tests and head/media design relationships.
• Identify root causes in test failures with internal lab support.
• Improve test methodologies to meet new customer requirements.
• Develop new setups and methods for head media interference testing.
