Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in mechanical design, system integration, and product development for complex mechanical systems.
• Experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis tools including FEA, stress/strain, and vibration analysis.
• Knowledge of GD&T, manufacturability, and high-volume manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on prototype assembly, testing, characterization, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Proficiency in Python and MATLAB for data analysis.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication across global teams.
• Experience in mechanical/electro-mechanical or opto-mechanical design is preferred.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate mechanical systems and wafer handling solutions for high performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and ensure end-to-end delivery.
• Analyze system requirements and specifications to support design decisions and performance optimization.
• Develop prototypes and execute system integration, testing, and validation activities.
• Ensure designs are scalable for HVM by coordinating with suppliers and manufacturing teams.
• Create assembly, testing, and diagnostic documentation; train Manufacturing and NPI engineers.
• Coordinate project activities and manage technical issues and escalations.
• Provide regular status updates, risks, and mitigation plans aligned with roadmaps.
• Identify and drive product/process improvements for innovation and competitiveness.
