Job summary

Private Advertiser in Singapore seeks a Laboratory Manager to lead R&D and electroplating operations, ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance. You will supervise junior staff, oversee CAPA, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining TDS/SDS, testing samples, and guiding new product formulation and process optimization to reduce costs and enhance performance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a degree in Engineering (Chemical), Chemistry or equivalents.
• Minimum 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience in a laboratory, research institution, or R&D environment.
• Hands-on experience in the electroplating chemical industry or electroplating production processes.

• Ensure products and services meet customer specifications, quality standards and requirements.
• Lead, supervise, mentor and train junior staff to promote continuous improvement and high team performance.
• Investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis and implement CAPA.
• Develop and maintain Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS).
• Report periodically on laboratory operations, R&D activities, project progress and product performance.
• Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs and support employee development.
• Perform customer sample testing, provide technical support and respond to inquiries.
• Lead R&D projects including new product formulation, process optimization and cost reduction.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Investigate product and process non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Develop, review, and maintain Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS), ensuring they are accurate, up to date, and compliant with relevant regulations.

• Reporting to superior time to time on laboratory operations, R&D activities, project progress, technical issues, and product performance.

• Conduct performance evaluations of laboratory and R&D staff, identify training needs, and support employee development.

• Perform customer sample testing, provide technical support, troubleshoot product-related issues, and respond to customer technical enquiries.

• Lead research and development projects, including new product formulation, product improvement, process optimization, cost reduction, and continuous innovation.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Engineering (Chemical), Chemistry or equivalents.

• Minimum 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience in a laboratory, research institution, or R&D environment.
