Job summary

HSBC is seeking a high‑calibre professional to join our GCIO team as a Quantum Tech Programme Manager. You will identify new business use cases for quantum technologies, manage multi‑stakeholder relationships, and oversee the programme lifecycle from concept through PoC to production.

You will also drive governance, reporting and portfolio management, ensuring delivery aligns with strategic objectives and realises value across the portfolio in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Qualifications

Proven ability to lead multi‑workstream technology programmes end‑to‑end.
Strong business acumen and ability to link tech to value realization.
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication.
Experience in governance, steering committees and senior reporting.
Ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving tech landscape and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

Identify and shape new business use cases for quantum tech adoption.
Manage relationships with internal teams, government bodies and partners.
Oversee programme lifecycle from concept to PoC and production.
Lead portfolio governance, steering meetings and senior updates.
Ensure roadmap alignment with strategic objectives and value realization.
