Job summary

YA XING CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Tender professional to support tendering and post-contract activities on construction projects in Singapore.

You will perform quantity take-offs, prepare costings, and manage variations with a focus on cost control and value management. The role requires 1–2 years of relevant experience and an approved education in Building, Quantity Surveying, Civil, or related fields.

Qualifications

• ITE/ Diploma/ Degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• ITE/ Diploma/ Degree in Building, Quantity Survey/ Civil or related is welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quantity take-off for projects, including sourcing for suppliers and sub-contractors and collating prices for comparison.
• Prepare tender and contract documents; prepare and analyse costings for tender.
• Perform risk, value management and cost control.
• Collect, sort and check other bidding calculations of quantities.
• Review tender documents, drawings and quantity take-off.
• Prepare quotations for various technical works, materials and manpower.
• Measure quantities in post-contract work.
• Source subcontractors and suppliers; evaluate price comparisons.
• Estimate variations submissions and monitor project variations.
• Value completed works and prepare subcontractor payments.
• Attend site/technical meetings and prepare debriefs.
• Conduct site measurements; review plans and specifications.
• Arrange meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to review specs, scope and construction methods.

Responsibilities

Tender:

• Carry out quantity take-off for project which includes sourcing for supplier and sub-contractor, collate price for comparison


• Prepare tender and contract documents\\Prepare and analyse costings for tender.


• Perform risk, value management and cost control


• Responsible for collecting, sorting, check other bidding calculation of quantities.


• Accountable for reviewing tender documents, drawings and quantity taking-off.


• Prepare quotations for various technical works, material, manpower etc.

Post-contract:

• Measurement of quantities


• Sourcing of Subcontractors and suppliers


• Evaluation of price comparison


• Estimation for variations submissions


• Monitoring of project variations


• Valuing completed works and preparing subcontractor’s payment


• Attendance of site/technical meetings including preparation of debrief


• Conducting site measurements


• Review and understand all plans and specifications


• Arranging meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to review the specifications, scope of works and method of construction if required


• Preparation of Tender Queries


• Materials Tracking


• Other Ad hoc duties.
