Job summary

Elitez Pte Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage tender pricing, cost estimation, progress claims, and subcontract documentation for site-based projects.

You will work with project teams to measure quantities, monitor costs, negotiate variation claims, and settle final accounts with a focus on accuracy and timely commercial reporting.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of QS experience and strong Excel and AutoCAD skills, with experience in industrial, dormitory, or renovation projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil/Building Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience, preferably with a main contractor or subcontractor.
• Experience in industrial, dormitory, A&A, renovation, or building construction projects.
• Experience managing projects from tender stage through to final account.
• Strong understanding of construction costing, tendering, subcontractor procurement, variation claims, and final accounts.
• Good knowledge of quantity measurement and construction drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with costing sheets and project cost tracking.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD for drawing interpretation and quantity take-off.
• Experience with relevant construction contract forms such as PSSCOC, SIA, PAM, or other standard forms.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills when dealing with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Handle tender pricing, cost estimation, and preparation of commercial submissions.
• Prepare and submit progress claims to clients and consultants.
• Source quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiate rates, and prepare subcontract documentation.
• Carry out site measurements for completed works, progress claims, and variation orders (VOs).
• Monitor project costs and cost-to-complete, identifying potential budget overruns and commercial risks.
• Prepare, submit, and negotiate variation claims with clients and consultants.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and negotiate final accounts through to settlement.
• Work closely with project and site teams to ensure accurate measurements, costing, and overall cost control.
