Job summary

Links International in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage tendering, cost estimation, and BOQ preparation. You will review drawings, quantify materials, prepare detailed cost breakdowns, and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to support accurate tender submissions.

Qualifications include a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying and 2–3 years of relevant experience, with strong Excel skills and an ability to read drawings and tender documents.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–3 years of Quantity Surveying experience, preferably in the Singapore construction industry.
• Experience in pre-tender estimation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation and tender preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Familiarity with Bills of Quantities, cost breakdowns and tender comparison sheets.
• Experience in obtaining and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Tender & Document Review: Examine drawings, specs and contracts to understand scope.
• Quantity Take-Off (QTO): Measure quantities for materials, labour, equipment and provisional sums.
• Cost Estimation & Pricing: Build cost estimates, apply market rates, compute overheads, contingencies and profit.
• BOQ Preparation: Prepare or price the BoQ; align items with project specs.
• Subcontractor & Supplier Sourcing: Request and analyse quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Risk Analysis: Identify project risks.
• Clarifications & RFIs: Raise technical and commercial queries and handle addenda.
• Tender Submission & Reporting: Compile tender packages and ensure on-time submission.
