Jones Lang LaSalle Property Consultants Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Cost Consultant to support cost planning and procurement strategy across project stages from feasibility to final account.
You will prepare cost plans, take-offs, tender documents, and assist in contract administration, while liaising with engineers, architects, designers and owners to drive value and efficiency for clients.
About the role
This role involves assisting in the preparation of cost plans, conferring with engineers, architects, designers and owners on changes and adjustments, and advising clients on procurement strategies. You will support pre-qualification processes, prepare tender documents, compare tender returns, evaluate and administer contracts, maintain client relationships, and provide cost advisory support across all project stages from feasibility through to final account.
Key responsibilities
Assist in preparation of cost plans including taking off quantities and pricing for projects
Confer with engineers, architects, designers and owners on changes and adjustments to cost plans
Advise clients on procurement strategies
Support the pre-qualification process and evaluation of contractors
Assist in preparation of tender documents, including compiling Bills of Quantities/Schedule of Works, Schedule of Rates, and managing the tender process
Compare tender returns and support clients in negotiating pricing with contractors and subcontractors
Evaluate contract and administer contracts on behalf of clients, including valuations, variations and final accounts
Maintain strong working relationships with clients, design consultants and contractors
Certify final payment claims and prepare cost reports, including finalisation of the account, for client sign-off
Provide cost advisory support to clients across all project stages, from feasibility through to final account
About you
A degree or diploma in a relevant field (QS/Engineering), and/or up to five years' experience (CM/QS); up to eight years' experience (SQS) in a similar QS/Cost Consultancy position

Good experience in the pre-construction as well as the construction phase of projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technologically savvy
