Job summary

YONG LEE PLUMBING & SANITARY PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support tendering and project costing. You will perform quantity take-offs, analyze tender documents and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to prepare accurate quotations.

The role requires a Degree or Diploma in QS or a related field, 1–2 years' experience in sanitary & plumbing or M&E, and proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, Photoshop and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of related experience in the sanitary & plumbing or M&E industry preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM, Photoshop and MS Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quantity take-offs and sourcing of suppliers/sub-contractors.
• Study tender/contract documents to identify discrepancies.
• Produce quantity measurements within project timelines.
• Prepare and call quotations and evaluate costing for tenders; negotiate subcontracts.
• Ensure complete and timely submission of tender bids.
• Prepare cost budgets and track design/construction changes.
• Review and prepare subcontract/supply agreements.
• Certify progress and administer variations for contracts.
• Prepare monthly progress claims and advise subcontractor payments.
• Finalise subcontract and main contract final accounts.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

1. Carry out Quantity Take off for the project whichincludes sourcing for suppliers and sub-contractors, collating price comparisonand costing summary.

2. Study and identify discrepancies in tender/contractdocuments.

3. Produce quantity measurement within the targetedtimeline.

4. Prepare and call quotations including analyzing andevaluating for costing of tender; or negotiate and award of subcontracts forprojects.

5. To ensure completeness and timely submission of tenderbids.

6. Prepare cost budget, track changes in design/constructionwork and adjust budget projects accordingly.

7. Review and prepare agreements for award to subcontractorsand suppliers.

8. Certify and evaluate progress work done, includingcontract administration for variations for both subcontract and main contractworks.

9. Assess and submit monthly progress claims, and recommendthe subcontractor's monthly progress payment.

10. Finalise subcontract and main contract's final account.

11. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying/ MechanicalEngineering or related discipline.
• Min. 1-2years of similar capacity experience in theSanitary & Plumbing Industry or M&E Industry would be an addedadvantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM, Photoshop and MS OfficeApplications.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-pacedenvironment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
