Job summary

Shimizu Corporation is seeking a qualified professional to manage the commercial aspects of construction projects in Singapore. You will handle cost control, contract administration, and procurement, ensuring value and compliance across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include preparing estimates and budgets, supervising tendering, coordinating with project teams, producing regular cost reports, and finalizing accounts on project close-out. Strong communication and ethics are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant construction or built environment experience.
• Good understanding of standard forms of contract.
• Proficient in Excel and QS software; strong cost control skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans at various project stages.
• Monitor project costs and cash flow to ensure financial control.
• Administer contracts, including valuations, variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and contractual documentation.
• Manage tender processes, including evaluation and recommendation of awards.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, consultants, and site teams.
• Provide cost advice and commercial support throughout the project.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Prepare regular cost reports, financial forecasts, and management updates.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare and agree on final accounts with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Support project close-out and handover processes.
