Job summary

Search Personnel Pte Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor (Construction/Pre-Contract) in Ang Mo Kio. The permanent role covers tender evaluation, BOQ preparation, cost estimations and budget monitoring.

You will coordinate sub-contractor quotations and support final accounts matters, in a hands-on pre-contract capacity. Candidates should have a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying with 1–2 years of relevant experience and be prepared to work in a construction-focused team.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in QS course or equivalent.
• Experience with tender submissions and BOQ preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of tender, preparation of tender submission and Bill of Quantity.
• Establish database for costs, materials and supply sources.
• To calculate the cost of construction for a project (Pre-contract) based on drawings and documents.
• To assist in the assessment of all contractual claims, work progress, etc.
• To invite sub-contractors to submit quotations and evaluate them for award.
• Preparation of project budgets, reports and cost estimation.
• Monitor budget and direct costs on projects.
• Resolve outstanding claim issues on Final Accounts and Variation Orders promptly.

Job description

• Position: Quantity Surveyor (Construction/Pre-Contract)
• Location: Ang Mo Kio
• Working hours: 5.5 Days -Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm, Saturday 8.3am-12.30pm - only standby at home for urgent matters
• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $4,200 + AWS + Variable Bonus + 14 days annual leave
• Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Evaluation of tender, preparation of tender submission and Bill of Quantity
• Establish database for costs, materials and supply sources.
• To calculate the cost of construction for a projects (Pre-contract) based om the drawings and documents.
• To assist in the assessment of all contractual claims, work progress, etc.
• To invite sub-contractors of various trades to submit quotations for the projects and evaluate the quotation accordingly to the necessary award of the Sub-Con.
• Preparation of project budgets, reports and cost estimation.
• Monitor budget and keep track of direct costs on projects.
• To resolve any outstanding claim issues on Final Accounts and Variation Orders promptly

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in QS course or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience, preferably in similar industry.
