Job summary

Right Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Singapore team. This full-time role focuses on cost control, commercial management, and ensuring financial success across projects.

You will prepare cost estimates, monitor budgets, negotiate subcontracts, and provide strategic cost advice to stakeholders. A strong track record in major construction projects and proficiency in QS software are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree, Diploma, or Professional Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification Quantity Surveying experience in the construction industry.
• Proven track record in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of major construction projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and contract documents.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Quantity Surveying software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), tender documents, and contract documentation.
• Monitor and control project budgets, costs, and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and administer subcontractor and supplier contracts.
• Provide professional cost and commercial advice to project managers, clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Prepare project valuations, progress claims, variation orders (VO), final accounts, and monthly financial reports.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor claims, payment applications, and cost variations.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
• Support the successful delivery of complex and high-profile construction projects.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

About the Role

Right Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Singapore. This is a full-time position that plays a key role in the successful delivery of our construction projects. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project cost control and commercial management, ensuring the financial success and commercial performance of our developments.
