Job summary

SINGAPORE ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage tendering and subcontractor negotiations. You will oversee cost control, contract compliance, and variation management across civil and building projects.

The role requires strong collaboration with design teams and timely preparation of payment certificates and progress claims. Independent work and a proactive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of local working experience in Civil and Building projects.
• Good teamwork, initiative and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bill of quantities for tendering of subcontract packages and source subcontractors/suppliers.
• Negotiate with subcontractors/suppliers and prepare subcontract agreements.
• Monitor costs and ensure adherence to contract specifications and drawings.
• Prepare payment certificates for subcontractors.
• Evaluate revisions and additions to contracts with subcontractors.
• Prepare variation orders and reconcile with client’s quantity surveyors.
• Prepare monthly progress claims and assist cashflow forecasts.
• Coordinate plan changes with the design team and review potential variation claims.
• Provide assistance with tender processes or project execution.

Job description

Job Responsibilities :

• Prepare bill of quantities for tendering of subcontract packages including sourcing out of subcontractors/suppliers
• Handle contract negotiations with subcontractors/suppliers and prepare subcontract agreement
• Handle cost monitoring, adherence to contract specifications and drawings
• Prepare payment certificates of subcontractor
• Evaluate and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreement with subcontractors
• Prepare variation orders and reconcile with the client’s quantity surveyors in accordance to the contract agreement
• Prepare monthly progress claim to client and assist in preparation of cashflow forecast for submission to client
• Coordinate changes in plans with design team and review the potential variation claims to client
• Provide assistance with either the tender process or project execution

Job Requirements :

• Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Civil Engineering or other related field
• Minimum 3 years of local working experience in Civil and Building projects
• A good team player with good initiative and positive work attitude
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
