Job summary

CONSTRUKT is seeking a detail-oriented procurement and project support role in Singapore. The successful candidate will manage quotations, material and equipment purchases, and ensure pricing aligns with the project budget.

You will monitor delivery, quality, and schedule adherence, while supporting tendering and subcontractor progress claims. Responsibilities include reviewing contractor quotations for fairness, assisting the Project Manager in drafting proposals, budgets, and cash flows, and

• Experience in procurement and cost control for construction projects.
• Ability to review quotations and select fair, cost-effective options.
• Strong organizing, communication, and scheduling skills.

• In charge of purchase of construction materials and rental of equipment, including getting quotations and ensuring competitive pricing within budget.
• Track delivery progress and quality of materials to prevent delays in the construction schedule.
• Assist in the tendering process and progress claims for Sub-Contractors.

Job description

1. Request, organise, compare, analyse, and prepare reports for quotations received;
2. In charge of the purchase of construction materials and rental of equipment as instructed and requests, including getting quotations and ensuring the price for the materials / equipment is competitive and within the project budget;
3. Track the progress of delivery and quality of materials in accordance with the construction schedule to prevent delays;
4. Assist in the tendering process;
5. Assist in the progress claims and payment cert for Sub-Contractors;
6. Taking off and any calculation as required;
7. Assist the Project manager as well as direct supervisors in the review of Contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval;
8. Attend meetings and assist with determination of project requirements when requested;
9. Assist the Project Manager (PM) in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules when required;
10. Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures
11. Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team;
12. Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner;
13. Understands the project plans, specifications and explain plans and contract terms to all general workers, and/or clients when need to;
14. Monitor and control all sub-contractors’ and Project’s budget status;
15. Maintains positive relationships with Client, Architects, Consultants, Authorities, all Contractors, suppliers and any other relevant personnel;
16. Maintains an organized and safe work place;
17. Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others;
18. Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations and report to PM daily on site status;
19. Any other tasks and duties as instructed by the management.
