Job summary

SYSENG (S) PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team.

You will perform quantity take-offs, measure quantities, review quotations and negotiate with suppliers and contractors. The ideal candidate has a degree in Quantity Surveying with 2–5 years of experience; knowledge of PSSCOC/REDAS/SIA standard forms; meticulous, analytical, and a strong team player. Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or in related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in a similar position in construction.
• More experience considered for a senior role.
• Knowledge of PSSCOC and/or REDAS and/or SIA standard forms of Contracts.
• Meticulous, analytical, eye for detail, good team player.

Responsibilities

• Take off and measurement of quantities.
• Source, review and negotiation of quotations.
• Liaise with internal colleagues and external project stakeholders.
• Contract administration including handling contractual documents, correspondences and disputes.
• Prepare and evaluate monthly progress claims/variation claims including final account.
• Prepare subcontractors’ claims and payments including final accounts.
• Assist in quotation and tender preparation.

Responsibilities

• Perform taking off and measurement of quantities

• Work closely and liaise with both internal colleagues and external project stakeholders
• Contract administration including handling contractual documentation, correspondences and disputes matters
• Manage, preparation, submission and liaise with clients/consultants on the evaluation of monthly progress claims / variation claims including final account
• Manage, evaluate and preparation of subcontractors’ claim and payments including final accounts
• Assist in quotation and tender preparation

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or in related disciplines
• At least 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position in construction industry
• Candidate with more experience will be considered for a senior role
• Knowledge of PSSCOC and/or REDAS and /or SIA standard forms of Contracts
• Meticulous, analytical, eye for details and a good team player
