Job summary

HANWHA OFFSHORE ENGINEERING SERVICES SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join our project teams in Singapore. The role covers cost control, contract management and quantity measurement for structural and piping works on major offshore projects.

You will hold a degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying, have 2–5 years of experience, and be able to interact with all levels of staff and work as part of a team. Excellent written communication is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or relevant courses.
• 2–5 years of experience in quantity surveying.
• Excellent written and strong communication skills, with ability to interact with all levels and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare forecast of overall project costs.
• Monitor changes in scope and handle commercial claims.
• Measure quantities for structural and piping trades.

Project Costs Control

• Preparing forecast on the overall project costs.
• Monitoring periodically on the increased or decreased in works scope.
• To handle any Commercial Claims (i.e. Extension of Time, variation claim, disputed claims, etc)

Contracts Management

• To ensure that all works & costs are in-line with the contract.
• Review Contract documents and identify variances and potential commercial opportunities.
• To manage and resolve any disputed items.

Quantity measurement of the following trades:

• Structural works.
• Piping works.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or relevant courses
• Min 2-5 years of experience in QS
• Handle full scope of QS duties which includes material take-off and variations
• Excellent written and good communicative skills, able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork
