Job summary

T.A.G. Construction Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our North Region team on a full-time basis.

You will manage costs from initial estimates through final accounts, ensuring profitability and financial discipline across multiple projects. The role requires a formal Quantity Surveying qualification, professional membership (RICS or equivalent), and strong skills in estimating software and Excel.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (degree/diploma).
• RICS membership or equivalent local qualification is preferred.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office, including advanced Excel.
• Strong numerical, analytical and detail-oriented abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documents for projects of varying scale.
• Conduct site investigations and measurements to inform cost estimates.
• Analyse drawings and specifications to determine material quantities and labor costs.
• Manage contract documentation, including terms, conditions and variations.
• Monitor budgets and provide financial reports to management and clients.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve cost queries.
• Prepare interim valuations and final accounts for project settlement.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of costs, variations and amendments.

About the role

T.A.G. Construction Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the North Region on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our construction estimating division, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate cost management, financial planning and project profitability. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project costs from initial estimation through to final account settlement, directly contributing to the success and reputation of our organisation across multiple construction projects.

Key responsibilities

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender documentation for construction projects of varying scales and complexity


2. Conducting thorough site investigations and measurements to inform accurate cost assessments and project valuations


3. Analysing specifications, drawings and project requirements to determine material quantities and labour costs


4. Managing contract documentation, including terms, conditions and variations to ensure financial compliance


5. Monitoring project budgets and expenditures, providing regular financial reports to senior management and clients


6. Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors and suppliers to gather information and resolve cost-related queries


7. Preparing interim valuations and final accounts for project completion and settlement


8. Identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending value engineering solutions without compromising quality or safety


9. Maintaining accurate records of all costs, variations and contractual amendments throughout the project lifecycle

What we’re looking for

1. Formal qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline, such as a degree or diploma


2. Professional membership with a recognised body such as "RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)" or equivalent local qualification


3. Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills


4. Excellent numerical and analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail


5. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines


6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders


7. Experience in preparing tender documents and cost plans for competitive bidding processes


8. Knowledge of building regulations, health and safety requirements, and cost implications
