Job summary

Y3 Construction Pte. Ltd. invites qualified individuals to join the quantity surveying team for tenders and project cost control.

Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining tender documents, measuring quantities from drawings, and producing proposals and quotations for customers. The role involves evaluating price comparisons, cost summaries, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure tender requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying and 0–3 years of related experience.
• Strong ability to read specifications and building drawings.
• Fresh graduate or early career candidate with good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and manage tender documents, including BOQ, clarifications and unit prices.
• Carry out taking off quantities and measure quantities from drawings.
• Prepare proposals and quotations for customers and cost evaluations.
• Prepare tender documents to subcontractors/vendors for quotations.
• Source quotations for trade works and perform price comparisons and cost analyses.
• Raise tender queries or design discrepancies for timely clarification.
• Ensure supplier equipment selection and subcontractor quotes meet tender requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates considering materials, labour, equipment and related costs.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, maintain and management of tender documents comprises of BOQ, tender clarifications and unit prices etc.
• To carry out taking off quantities; Measure of quantities from drawings.
• Prepare proposal and quotation to customer.
• Evaluation of price comparison and costing summary.
• Prepare tender documents to subcontractor / vendor for quotations.
• To source quotations for relevant trade works including price comparison and cost analysis.
• Ability to raise tender queries/ design discrepancies timely for clarification.
• Ensure all Suppliers equipment selection and Subcontractors quote meets tender requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, taking into account materials, labour, equipment, and other related costs.
• Ability to handle tender correspondences and addendum to update changes made to tender documents.
• Technical review on the supplier/contractor quotation or proposal and makes sure that all requirements are complied.
• Review tender addendum, corrigendum and post tender addendum drawings and documents and update costing summary with technical proposal accordingly.
• Preparation of monthly progress claims to customer.
• Prepare/ verification / upkeep of project variation work and site instructions.
• To assist in compilation of tender submission including tender qualification.
• To perform other QS duties as assigned.
• Purchase order, invoice verification.

Requirements:

• Cost Estimation & Budgeting, Tender Negotiations, Measurement & Quantity Take-off, Cost Control & Management, Value Engineering,Contract Administration, Documentation & Records, Compliance & Regulations, Communication & Collaboration.
• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Fresh graduate/ 1-3 years’ working experience related to building tenders / tunnelling.
• Good knowledge of reading specifications and building drawings.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline.
• Meticulous, independent with good communicative skills, and a team player.
