Job summary

ZJCC Engineering & Construction PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Diploma/ Degree holder in Quantity Surveying to support tendering and cost estimation for building and tunnelling projects.

The role involves preparing and managing tender documents, quantity take-offs from drawings, evaluating bids, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliant quotations and timely submissions. Fresh graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Fresh graduate/ 1-3 years’ working experience related to building tenders / tunnelling.
• Good knowledge of reading specifications and building drawings.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline.
• Meticulous, independent with good communicative skills, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and manage tender documents comprising of BOQ, tender clarifications and unit prices.
• Take-off quantities; measure quantities from drawings.
• Prepare proposals and quotations to customers.
• Evaluate price comparisons and costing summaries.
• Prepare tender documents to subcontractors/vendors for quotations.
• Source quotations for relevant trades including price comparison and cost analysis.
• Raise tender queries/design discrepancies timely for clarification.
• Ensure supplier equipment selection and subcontractor quotes meet tender requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates considering materials, labour, equipment and other costs.
• Handle tender correspondences and addenda to update changes in tender documents.
• Technical review of supplier/contractor quotations/proposals to ensure requirements are met.
• Review tender addenda and post-tender drawings and update costing summaries accordingly.
• Prepare monthly progress claims to customer.
• Prepare/verifications and upkeep of project variation work and site instructions.
• Assist in compilation of tender submission including tender qualification.
• Perform other QS duties as assigned.
• Purchase orders and invoice verification.

• Ability to raise tender queries/ design discrepancies timely for clarification.
• Ensure all Suppliers equipment selection and Subcontractors quote meets tender requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, taking into account materials, labour, equipment, and other related costs.
• Ability to handle tender correspondences and addendum to update changes made to tender documents.
• Technical review on the supplier/contractor quotation or proposal and makes sure that all requirements are complied.
• Review tender addendum, corrigendum and post tender addendum drawings and documents and update costing summary with technical proposal accordingly.
• Preparation of monthly progress claims to customer.
• Prepare/ verification / upkeep of project variation work and site instructions.
• To assist in compilation of tender submission including tender qualification.
• To perform other QS duties as assigned.

Requirements:
