Job summary

Stonrich Pte Ltd in Singapore invites an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our construction estimating team on a full-time basis. Based in Jurong West, you will manage project costs, prepare take-offs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications, and support tender processes.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma or Degree in QS or related field, 3–5 years of experience, and strong skills in estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or equivalent qualification.
• 3-5 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials and industry standards.
• Proven ability to prepare accurate bills of quantities and cost estimates.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels.
• Knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Singapore.
• Professional membership with organisations such as QSIE or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for construction projects from design drawings and specifications.
• Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies to support project planning and budgeting.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors to clarify project requirements and scope of works.
• Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction phase, identifying and reporting variances.
• Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities and specifications for competitive bidding processes.
• Conduct market research and analyse supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and cost records for audit and future reference.
• Provide cost advice and recommendations to project managers and senior management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control mechanisms.
• Review and validate invoices and payment claims against contract terms and project progress.
