Job summary

EQUATION TECHNOLOGY & CABLING PTE LTD in Singapore is looking for a professional with a background in Mechanical or Electrical engineering to handle variation orders and contract claims. You will assess subcontract packages, process claims, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth project management.

The ideal candidate holds a Professional Certificate, NITEC, Diploma, or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, with at least 3 years in the M&E construction industry.

• Ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
• Must be responsible and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify variation order work for subcontract packages.
• Provide support for measurement and pricing on VO claims.
• Process monthly progress claims and final claims.
• Attend to contracts administration and documentation.
• Work out cost estimations on Mechanical/Electrical services.
• Liaise with Consultants/Main Contractors on VO and claims.
• Liaise with suppliers for quotations.

• To assess and identify variation order (VO) work for all subcontract packages
• To provide support in terms of measurement and pricing on the Mechanical / Electrical contract's VO claim
• MUST BE ABLE to process monthly progress claim and final claim
• To attend to all relevant contracts administration and documentation for the project
• To work out cost estimation or budgetary cost on Mechanical / Electrical services
• To liaise with Consultants/ Main Contractors on VO and progress claims
• To liaise with suppliers for quotations
• To maintain relevant documentation in an orderly and proper manner

Requirements

• Possess Professional Certificate/NITEC/Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in M&E construction industry not limited to shopping complexes, hotels, condominiums, office buildings, etc.
• Analytical, resourceful, independent, responsible and able to work in a challenging and fast paced environment
• Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• Able to work independently
