Job summary

LAW BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. invites applications for an entry-level Quantity Surveyor to support tendering, estimating and project quantity measurement. You will study contract documents, prepare Bill of Quantities and assist in procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering, with 0–2 years of experience. You will attend site meetings and help monitor costs during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering.
• Entry-level to 2 years of working experience in tendering, estimating and measurement of quantities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in contract administration and prepare progress claims.
• Study contract documents and perform quantity measurements.
• Review subcontractor and supplier claims and prepare payments.
• Call quotations, compare prices and prepare bills of quantities.
• Keep project stakeholders informed on contractual matters.
• Attend site meetings and progress claim meetings.
• Prepare yearly budget statements for each project.
• Monitor defects liability period after project completion.
• Assist in procuring subcontractors and materials.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• To assist in contract administration, prepare progress claim and liaise with the Client's representative on claims and variation cost

• To study contract documents, perform measurements and prepare Bill of Quantities

• To review and verify Subcontractor's / Supplier's claims and prepare payment certifications

• Call quotations, compare prices and prepare bill of quantities to arrive at the tender pricing

• To keep Superior informed of all contractual and site matters

• To attend site meeting and progress claim meeting

• To prepare budget statement yearly for each project

• Upon completion of each project to monitor the respective project during the defects liability period

• Assist in the procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers of specified materials

• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering

• Experience: Entry-level to 2 years of working experience in tendering, estimating and measurement of quantities
