INTELLIPRO SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a Quality Engineer to lead the QMS and improve quality across marine projects. You will implement ISO 9001 standards, conduct internal and supplier audits, and mentor teams to achieve quality targets.
You will collaborate with engineering, production, and project teams, ensuring ASME codes and marine classifications are met, while maintaining documentation and supporting certification. Travel to shipyards is expected.
Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across shipbuilding processes, focusing on efficiency, safety, and quality.
Conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented effectively.
Ensure compliance with marine industry standards and ASME codes relevant to piping, welding, and instrumentation.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure quality objectives are met.
Prepare and maintain documentation, procedures, and quality records for certification and regulatory compliance.
Provide training and guidance to staff on quality standards and continuous improvement practices.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or Quality Engineering.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality engineering within marine, shipbuilding, or heavy engineering industries.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS implementation and auditing.
Familiarity with ASME codes (e.g., ASME Section VIII for pressure vessels, ASME B31.3 for piping) and marine classification society requirements (ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register).
Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to influence cross‑functional teams.
Proficiency in audit tools, root‑cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action systems.
Willingness to work in shipyard environments and travel when required.
