Job summary

INN INTERIOR ENTERPRISE PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a Degree/Diploma qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage cost analysis, tendering, and subcontractor payments. You will prepare cost comparisons, obtain quotations, measure quantities, prepare variation orders, and monitor risk and cost control to ensure project success, on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in construction/building or equivalent.
• Ability in contract negotiation, contract administration and variation orders.
• Independent, meticulous, analytical with problem-solving skills; proactive and a good team player; able to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost comparisons.
• Obtain quotations and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Measure quantities and perform take-offs.
• Prepare variation orders, claims, final accounts, and subcontractor payments.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with architect and/or client.
• Conduct cost analysis for repair and maintenance projects.
• Assist in defining client requirements and feasibility studies.
• Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
• Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks.
• Prepare and analyze costings for tenders.
• Allocate work to subcontractors.
• Provide advice on contractual claims.
• Analyze outcomes and write progress reports.
• Value completed work and arrange payments.
• Maintain awareness of different building contracts in current use.
• Understand implications of health and safety regulations.
• All other QS related work.

Job Description:

• Prepare and analyze cost comparison
• Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers
• Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off
• Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
• Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies
• Perform risk, value management, and cost control
• Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks
• Prepare and analyze costings for tenders
• Allocate work to subcontractors
• Provide advice on contractual claims
• Analyze outcomes and write detailed progress reports
