Job summary

TEMUS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Testing & Quality Assurance team in the West Coast West Region on a full-time basis.

You will work with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to identify, document, and resolve quality issues, ensuring reliable and user-centric solutions. Responsibilities include designing test plans, executing tests, automating scripts, and performing UAT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–3 years minimum in software testing and quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies: functional, regression, integration, system testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for software applications and systems.
• Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects and performance issues.
• Document and track defects with clear communication to development.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to validate functionality.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve coverage.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure fixes and new features don’t introduce issues.
• Perform UAT and support validation of releases.
• Monitor and report quality metrics, testing progress, and coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and QA process improvements.
• Investigate test failures and provide root cause analysis.

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Testing & Quality Assurance team in the West Coast West Region on a full-time basis. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our technology products and services. This position is fundamental to our commitment to delivering reliable, robust, and user-centric solutions. You will work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify, document, and resolve quality issues before they reach our customers. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the quality of our offerings whilst developing your expertise in quality assurance methodologies and tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications and systems
• Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues
• Document and track defects using quality assurance tools, ensuring clear communication of issues to development teams
• Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and validate functionality
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that fixes and new features do not introduce unintended issues
• Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and support the validation of releases
• Monitor and report on quality metrics, testing progress, and test coverage
• Participate in code reviews and quality assurance process improvements
• Investigate and troubleshoot test failures and provide root cause analysis

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent technologies
• Familiarity with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar platforms
• Understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively within cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of performance testing, load testing, or security testing is advantageous
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is desirable
• Industry certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are a plus
