Job summary

CHONG FONG ENGINEERING PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a QA Inspector to conduct inspections of machined parts, weldments and assemblies in line with drawings and customer specifications.

You will perform dimensional checks with micrometers, calipers and CMM, report non-conformities to QA, and ensure adherence to approved data.

Must understand inspection tolerances and be proficient with inspection equipment; candidate to communicate effectively across levels.

Qualifications

• GCE O/ A Level with minimum 3 year working experience or Diploma holders with minimum 1 year working experience.
• Good interpersonal skill and ability to communicate with all levels.
• Good understanding of technical drawing and inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming, in-process and final parts as per drawings and customer specifications using inspection equipment.
• Perform dimension checks using micrometers, calipers, comparators, indicators, CMM and CREAFOAM.
• Perform visual, mechanical and functional checks on components.
• Report non-conforming parts to QA Engineer.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of incoming and outgoing components/parts.
• Understand inspection tolerances, limitations and procedures.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conduct inspection of incoming, in-process and final inspection on machined parts, weldments and assemblies as per technical drawings, customer’s specifications and requirements through the use of various types of inspection equipment set up.
• Perform dimension check on parts, components and tools using micrometers, calipers, comparators, indicator, CMM & CREAFOAM.
• Perform visual, mechanical and functional check on components.
• Report non-compliance parts to QA Engineer.
• Performs visual and dimensional inspection of incoming and outgoing components/parts.
• Understand current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures.
• Responsible for conducting inspection in accordance with approved technical data.

REQUIREMENT

• GCE ‘O’ / ‘A’ Level with minimum 3 year working experience or
• Diploma in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Quality Management with minimum 1 year working experience.
• Good interpersonal skill and ability to communicate with all levels.
• Good understanding of technical drawing.
• Familiar with all inspection methods and techniques.
• Basic understanding of General Dimension & Tolerance control.
• Proficient in the use of various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids.
