Job summary

PERFORMANCE LABS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a hands-on Quality Assurance professional to own the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) for our new micro-encapsulated flavor powders facility.

You will implement ISO 22000, HACCP, and GMP programs on the production floor and prepare for ISO 22000 certification and SFA licensing. The role covers FSMS governance, quality operations, audits, training, supplier quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing FSMS aligned with ISO 22000, HACCP and GMP.
• Proven ability to manage SOPs, forms and specifications.
• Capable of coordinating internal and external audits and CAPAs.
• Knowledge of SFA regulations and ISO 22000 readiness.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and improve the FSMS on the production floor.
• Oversee incoming materials, in-process checks and finished product release.
• Coordinate audits (SFA, ISO 22000) and manage CAPA closure.
• Maintain training records and supplier documentation (COA, SDS).

Job description

We are establishing a new food manufacturing facility, producing microencapsulated flavor powders under ISO 22000 food safety standards in ISO 7 / ISO 8 cleanroom environments.

We are looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance professional to take ownership of our Food Safety Management System (FSMS). The facility is currently in the final stages of construction and commissioning, with production targeted to begin in early 2027.

This is a ground-floor opportunity. The FSMS framework - including SOPs, HACCP plan, and GMP programmes - has already been developed. Your role is to bring it to life: implement it on the production floor, maintain its records, and prepare the facility for ISO 22000 certification and SFA licensing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Food Safety Management System (FSMS)

• Implement, maintain, and improve the FSMS in line with ISO 22000, HACCP, and SFA regulations
• Manage controlled documents (SOPs, forms, specifications) - distribution, version control, and archiving
• Maintain the HACCP plan and ensure CCP monitoring is performed and recorded correctly

2. Quality Operations

• Oversee incoming raw material inspection, in-process checks, and finished product release
• Review batch records, QC test results, and deviation reports
• Manage the retention sample programme and external laboratory testing
• Coordinate equipment calibration and environmental monitoring

3. Audits and Compliance

• Conduct internal audits and support external audits (SFA, ISO 22000 certification body, customers)
• Manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and follow up on closure
• Prepare quality performance data for management review meetings

4. Training and Supplier Quality

• Maintain the training needs matrix and training records for all staff
• Ensure all mandatory food safety training (WSQ FSC Level 3, GMP, HACCP awareness) is completed
• Manage the Approved Supplier List and supplier documentation (COA, SDS, certificates)

5. Continuous Improvement

• Lead root cause investigations for non-conformances and customer complaints
• Drive a strong food safety culture on the production floor
