Job summary

J&J LCD Manufacturing Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced QA leader to oversee the Quality Management System and drive process control across LCD production.

You will supervise inspection, CAPA, supplier quality, and customer quality assurance to ensure adherence to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and internal standards. Lead a team of QA engineers and technicians, mentor staff on SOPs, data analysis, audits, and change management for new product introductions.

Responsibilities

• Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight: Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s QMS in accordance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other relevant standards.
• Process Control & Improvement: Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes to reduce defects and ensure consistent product quality.
• Inspection & Testing Oversight: Supervise incoming, in-process, and final inspection of LCD components and finished products.
• Supplier Quality Management: Evaluate and audit suppliers to ensure raw materials and components meet quality standards.
• Team Leadership & Training: Lead and manage a team of QA engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
• Customer Quality Assurance: Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues, audits, and returns (RMA).
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Track and analyze key quality metrics such as yield, defect rates, and customer returns.
• Documentation & Compliance: Ensure quality-related documentation is complete, up-to-date, and properly controlled.
• Product Reliability & Life Testing: Oversee environmental and reliability testing to ensure long-term LCD performance.
• Change Management & NPI: Participate in cross-functional teams to evaluate impact of design or process changes on product quality.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight:
   Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s QMS in accordance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other relevant standards.
   Ensure ongoing compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
2. Process Control & Improvement:
   Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes to reduce defects and ensure consistent product quality.
   Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for process deviations and customer complaints.
3. Inspection & Testing Oversight:
   Supervise incoming, in-process, and final inspection of LCD components and finished products.
   Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and meets performance standards.
4. Supplier Quality Management:
   Evaluate and audit suppliers to ensure raw materials and components meet quality standards.
   Work closely with Procurement and Engineering teams to resolve supplier quality issues.
5. Team Leadership & Training:
   Lead and manage a team of QA engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
   Provide training to production and QA staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
6. Customer Quality Assurance:
   Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues, audits, and returns (RMA).
   Coordinate corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction.
7. Data Analysis & Reporting:
   Track and analyze key quality metrics such as yield, defect rates, and customer returns.
   Prepare regular reports for management with insights and recommendations for improvement.
8. Documentation & Compliance:
   Ensure quality-related documentation (SOPs, work instructions, inspection records) is complete, up-to-date, and properly controlled.
   Facilitate internal and external audits; lead the response to audit findings.
9. Product Reliability & Life Testing:
   Oversee environmental and reliability testing (e.g., temperature/humidity, burn-in, vibration) to ensure long-term LCD performance.
   Work with R&D to validate new designs and materials from a quality perspective.
10. Change Management & NPI (New Product Introduction):
    Participate in cross-functional teams to evaluate the impact of design or process changes on product quality.
    Support quality planning and risk assessments (e.g., FMEA) for new LCD products.
