Job summary

UMS SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking a quality leadership professional to represent and manage ISO9001, ISO14001 and related quality certifications.

You will implement and maintain the factory’s audit system, oversee calibration of test equipment, and drive continuous improvement across cross-functional teams. The role requires 5+ years of managerial quality experience in manufacturing, strong analytical skills, and proven ability to lead QA/QC teams, perform root cause analysis, and ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
• Managerial experience with min 5 years hands-on quality experience in manufacturing.
• Thorough understanding of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS.
• Experience conducting or managing internal, supplier, and external audits.
• Ability to manage QA/QC teams, train employees, set quality objectives, and drive accountability.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Represent, maintain and prepare company for ISO9001, ISAT certifications and other quality system certifications which suits UMS business needs

• Implement, develop and maintain a system of auditing the factory and periodic calibration of test, measuring equipment and tools.
• Perform related research, statistics, investigation and analysis.
• Formulate strategies, standards and procedures for quality system and drive implementation to achieve KPI
• Manage & address customer complaints, corrective and preventive action programs
• Work closely with customers, internal cross functional teams and suppliers to met the quality requirements and to drive towards continuous improvements
• Work closely with inter-department to prepare, review and implement quality assurance plans, inspection test plans and other operational procedures in accordance to the technical specifications, customer’s surveillance requirements, and good manufacturing/ engineering and to ensure committed schedules are met in a timely and effective manner.
• To lead and monitor QC to perform appropriate and reliable inspections.
• Responsible for co-coordinating any assessment/audit and providing access to evidence as requested by auditors. Plan and coordinate internal quality audit and 2nd / 3rd party audit
• Implement & maintain company’s Quality system
• To initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities related to product, process and quality system
• Communicate with customer & internal departments of related quality requirement and specification
• To identify job responsibilities and assign to staff
• Provide in-house training on Quality system & Quality techniques & ensure skills are sufficient
• Management representative for the company
• Administer Documents Control Centre
• Any other task that maybe assigned by management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field or equivalent
• Managerial experience with min 5 years hands on quality experience in manufacturing industry
• Thorough understanding of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO14001 &OHSAS
• Experience conducting or managing internal, supplier, and external audits
• Ability to manage QA/QC teams, train employees, set quality objectives, and drive accountability
• Root-cause analysis, statistical process control (SPC), risk assessment, quality metrics, and data analysis
• Good knowledge in the application of quality tools such as lean manufacturing, 6-Sigma, Black Belt, Green Belt & etc
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate leadership skill
• Strong in presentation skills, and must be customer-oriented
• Willing to travel
