Job summary

Sys-Mac Automation Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee day-to-day QA operations and maintain the QMS across the site in line with standards.

The role emphasizes leading the QA team, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, driving continuous improvement, and training process owners to achieve quality objectives and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in quality control management and ISO management.
• Experience as QMR and Lead Auditor qualifications preferred.
• Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 advantageous.
• Demonstrates leadership, initiative, and ability to influence stakeholders to meet quality objectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day QA operations and maintain QMS per standards.
• Act as escalation point and provide training/coaching for QMS Process Owners.
• Notify experts and impacted groups of new/revised QMS documents for compliance.
• Identify and set quality standards and parameters for products.
• Monitor and report on QMS performance and drive improvement programs.
• Promote awareness of customer, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Manage quality system controls: internal/external audits, document/record control, calibration, nonconformance, CAPA & customer complaints.
• Collaborate with QA engineering to understand customer needs and ensure quality objectives.
• Mentor and develop QA team members; conduct performance appraisals.
• Support supply chain during supplier qualification.
• Identify improvement opportunities and develop efficient procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary of the Job: (Primary function of the job)

Oversee the day-to-day operations in the quality Assurance function and maintain quality management system in accordance to implemented standards.

Job Responsibilities: (Key responsibilities of the job)

• To ensure that all QMS documents are assessed regarding QMS applicability and deployment and to manage the Site QMS implementation process.

• Act as a point of contact for escalation and provide support/training/coaching for QMS Process Owners.

• To notify technical experts and other impacted target groups of new or revised QMS documents to ensure that the Site is compliant with the relevant new standards or regulatory requirements.

• Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.

• Monitor and Reporting to the Top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement at planned intervals including continuous improvement program.

• Promoting of awareness regarding customers, statutory and regulatory requirements throughout the organization.

• Manage quality system controls such as Internal / External Audits, Document control, Record control, Calibration, nonconformance control, CAPA & Customer complaint handling.

• Work closely with quality assurance engineering team to understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality assurance planning and to ensure quality objective are met.

• Mentor & develop quality team members including conducting periodic performance appraisals.

• Support supply chain during supplier qualification.

• Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Responsibilities:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electric / Electronics / Mechatronics / instrumentation Engineering.

• At least 5 years relevant work experience, especially in Quality control management, ISO management and Supplier/Customer Quality management.

• Preferable with experience as QMR and related Lead Auditor qualifications.

• Knowledge in LEAN manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S & ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 added advantageous.

• Exhibits leadership initiative. Prioritize & drive for results with the ability to engage & influence stakeholders to achieve important quality objectives.

• Good communicator (both written/verbal). Strong in MS PowerPoint & MS Excel
