Job summary

LEIGHTON CONTRACTORS (ASIA) LIMITED (Singapore Branch) seeks a QA/QC Engineer to ensure project quality across construction activities in Singapore. You will coordinate with the construction team, monitor QA/Environmental plans, conduct site inspections and drive non-conformance handling to meet contract requirements, with preference for data center experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil / Mechanical engineering.
• 3 years’ experience as a QA/QC Engineer.
• Preferably with data center project experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with construction team to ensure inspection and testing requirements are fulfilled and quality meets contract.
• Monitor the implementation of the Project Quality and Environmental Plan.
• Ensure quality of works in accordance with Quality Management Plan including development of Method Statements, Inspection & Testing Plans and Checklists.
• Conduct site inspections.
• Witnessing and sentencing of all site inspections within their disciplines.
• Assess subcontractor/supplier QA arrangements for contract compliance.
• Audit and monitor QA and Environmental systems for compliance and effectiveness.
• Maintain a non-conformance control system including issuing of non-conformance reports and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of company systems and planning documentation.

• Co-ordinate with construction team to ensure all inspection and testing requirements are fulfilled and work quality is achieved in order to meet client’s requirement as per the contract.
• Monitor the implementation of the Project Quality and Environmental Plan
• Ensure quality of works in accordance with Quality Management Plan including development of Method Statements, Inspection & Testing Plans and Checklists
• Conduct site inspections
• Witnessing and sentencing of all site inspections within their disciplines
• Assess subcontractor/supplier QA arrangements for compliance with contract requirements
• Acquaint section personnel with QA requirements and arrangements in place to achieve them Audit and monitor QA and Environmental systems for compliance and effectiveness
• Coordinating and maintaining a non-conformance control system including issuing of non-conformance reports to the Project Manager and ensure corrective actions are implemented and effective
• Control/check on status of issue/revisions of QC documents/drawings within section/on sites
• Assist the Project QA Manager and section managers in the production and implementation of Safety, QA, QC and Environmental procedures
• Ensure key dates are achieved for preparation and submission (where appropriate) of quality procedures, inspection and test plans
• Provide regular reports and analysis of QA performance to Project QA/E Manager
• Assist in the development and maintenance of company systems Coordinate documentation including planning, reviewing and updating of the Project Management Plan
