Job summary

Woh Hup Group in Singapore is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to implement site quality assurance and control in line with project standards. The role focuses on leading the QA/QC activities on site and ensuring compliance across structural and architectural works.

You will engage the project team, train site staff, conduct internal audits, prepare management reports, liaise with authorities, and uphold safety practices to achieve quality targets on building projects.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or construction-related field.
• Experience: at least 3 years in building/civil engineering.
• QA/QC experience; certified auditors an advantage; ISO 9000 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Engage project team to deliver high quality works.
• Lead QA/QC team and train site team on Structural and Architectural trades.
• Assess site operations and procedures daily and recommend improvement actions.
• Provide insights for defects and recommend preventive measures.
• Prepare monthly reports for Management.
• Conduct Internal Quality Audits.
• Compile trade information, test reports, and formalize documentation.
• Liaise with authorities (i.e. BCA on assessment to achieve target score, LTA on inspections and compliances)
• Adhere to safety practices in the workplace.

Job description

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing site quality assurance and quality control system, in compliance with the quality standards at site.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or construction related field
• Experience: At least 3 years of building and/or civil engineering experience.
• Experience in QA/QC and certified auditors would have an added advantage.
• Completed at least 1 building project
• Knowledge of quality requirement of BCA, industry norms and contract specifications
• Quality Management Systems certification - ISO 9000
• Knowledge in Structural and Architectural works
