Job summary

SAILSTART GLOBAL MANPOWER PTE. LTD. seeks a QA/QC specialist for civil/construction projects in Singapore. The role focuses on reviewing specifications, coordinating with QMR and Project Manager, and ensuring adherence to ISO, safety, and quality standards on-site.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of QAQC experience, with knowledge of concrete technology and quality procedures. Condominium project experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of QAQC experience in construction or civil engineering projects.
• Experience in condominium projects will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of concrete technology, quality assurance, and quality control procedures.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand project specifications, general requirements, and construction drawings to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Report directly to QMR and Project Manager regarding all QAQC activities.
• Assist QMR in updating any summary for all documents, drawings, letters, forms, and submissions.
• Support QMR in the closing of reports for all audit-related documents, including ISO, safety, CONQUAS, cross project, client, and site audits.
• Assist QMR to prepare quality documents PQP, ITP, Checklist, testing, mockup and material submission.
• Ensure that the quality control is conducted efficiently and economically, in liaison with the Operations and Design Teams and other project staff responsible for quality control activities.
• Monitor, track and arrange closure of all NCRs and NCNs
• Ensure that the project quality aligns with the company and project quality plan, highlighting any areas of concern to the QMR and Project Manager to maintain high-quality standards
• Assist in ensuring compliance with the project document management system, including document filing and managing documents on the server
• Assists QMR in the distribution and submission of documents and drawings to all clients, consultants, sub-contractors, and third parties
• Support QMR in the preparation of quality-related slides and updates to project team and company management
• Conduct quality inspections on-site for all activities involving clients, RE, RTO, and subcontractors
• Conduct on-site surveillance to monitor the quality of work and compliance with project specifications
• Assists QMR in the planning, organizing, and conducting of internal surveillance and follow-up audits to ensure continuous compliance
• Receive, check, and coordinate with Engineer on all materials and QAQC documentation (testing certificates, expiry date), delivery and ensure quality and quantity of materials, to report any discrepancies or deviations in materials
• Carryout/arrange internal quality audits including audits of suppliers, subcontractors and consultants as necessary
• Liaise with BCA and the production team
• Prepare monthly project reports to clients and internal stakeholders regarding quality metrics and performance
• Carryout any additional safety-related duties as assigned
