Job summary

Builders Alliance Pte Ltd is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control on civil and building construction projects in Singapore. The role focuses on implementing ITPs, inspection procedures and quality records to meet project requirements.

You will coordinate with Project Engineers, consultants and subcontractors, review drawings and specifications, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and relevant codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of QA/QC experience in construction
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specs and method statements
• Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System and construction quality requirements
• Experience in civils/structural or building construction works is preferred
• Knowledge of Singapore construction standards, specifications and relevant codes is an advantage
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; good communication and coordination skills

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with drawings, specs, method statements and quality requirements
• Prepare and maintain ITPs, inspection checklists, method statements and quality records
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and site teams for inspection and testing activities
• Conduct site inspections and identify non-conforming works or quality issues
• Raise and follow up on NCRs and ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed
• Review materials, products and workmanship for compliance with specs
• Maintain records of inspection reports, test certificates, material approvals and quality documentation
• Assist in preparing Quality Plans and project quality documentation
• Review subcontractors' quality documents for project compliance
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions and verify effectiveness
• Conduct quality inspections at various construction stages and before work is covered
• Assist in preparing as-built documentation and final quality dossiers for handover
• Participate in internal and external quality audits
• Liaise with Project Manager and site team to resolve quality issues
• Ensure documentation and traceability of testing records
• Perform other quality-related duties as assigned

• Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and ensure corrective actions are properly implemented and closed.
• Review materials, products and workmanship to ensure they meet approved specifications.
• Coordinate and monitor required material inspections, testing and laboratory tests.
• Maintain proper records of inspection reports, test certificates, material approvals, approvals/submissions and quality documentation.
• Assist in preparing Quality Plans, Quality Control Plans and project quality documentation.
• Review subcontractors' quality documents and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions and verify their effectiveness.
• Conduct quality inspections at various stages of construction and before work is covered up.
• Assist in preparing as‑built documentation and final quality dossiers for project handover.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits when required.
